So I’ve hurt my right ankle. I went to the gym on Monday thinking that after a day of resting and with my legs no longer aching I would fly through 4km (new target) on the treadmill.
But not long after starting, a burning started in my right ankle and after 10 minutes I had to slow to a walk. The pain subsided a bit after a couple of minutes so I managed another 4 minutes running but had to stop due to the pain.
This has really annoyed me. Finally my fitness is better than that of a 80-year-old and now my legs are the problem.
My theory is (perhaps wishful) that my new trainers, in correcting my running are causing my ankle to hurt while it gets used to how it should be working. Either that or I’m doing too much but as a self-named Lazy Girl, I very much doubt it.
