You’ll see from this rather snazzy graph that my training has been ‘happening’ lets say for sake of a better word.
Here’s how Far I’ve run for the past five weeks: 7.57M, 5.85M, 6.38M, 4.66M and 6.84M. While not quite up to the dizzy heights of 10 miles in a week that I was putting in towards the end of last year, the consistency with which I’m getting out and putting on my trainers has definitely improved.
The next goal in my quest to run a marathon by the time I’m 30 is the spring Wimbledon 10k. I ran the autumn 10k in October and managed 57.17 and am hoping that I can take at least a few seconds off that time.
There are several reasons why I’m doing this race again. Firstly it’s so close to my home that it would be silly not to. Secondly, as I was supposed to be doing a half marathon this month I had to replace it with some sort of target, and thirdly, as I forgot to wear my timing chip last time, I really want to get an official ‘timed’ time.
