Blogging about my marathon mission has been as much a journey into the unknown as the training for the event itself. I once read somewhere that blogging was a lot like talking to yourself in an empty room – it’s only the occasional comments from people that have stumbled upon your words than make you feel less of a loon.
So to everyone that has read and commented on this over the past months, thank you. As some of you know for yourselves and many will appreciate – marathon training takes up a lot of time and energy, so I haven’t always had the time to respond to comments but I do read and appreciate them all.
It’s now 10 days, 4 runs, 19 miles and 1 sports massage between me and my marathon debut. If you’ve enjoyed the journey rest assured that, despite her nature, lazy girl will not stop running after 18 April. After a brief rest, I’ll be back with an exciting new plan. But more on that later.
what a nice post. It’s actually quite exciting waiting for YOU to run a marathon. I can’t wait to hear about it. Enjoy it as much as you can.
