How to Stretch After a Run
This week’s video goes back to basics again and shows you how to stretch after your run. This might be new information for some and a refresher for others.
Since I’ve been coaching the guidance on how long to hold stretches has changed several times, but right now it seems to be settled on 10 secs for post run stretches.
We’re all short on time, and stretching is one of the first things to get cut when we’re in a hurry. So I’ve kept this short and gone through the key stretches to do after you finish running.
Please note: don;t do these stretches before you run. I’ll get to a dynamic warm-up soon, but for now start with some brisk walking and light jogging for 5-10 mins before you get fully running.
