My good friend Katie King takes on the Underround challenge, devised by coach Rory Coleman, which involves running a marathon while visiting 42 London Underground stations.
She was kind enough to podcast it as she went. The result is pretty funny.

hi, I’ve just subscribed to your blog and I love it!! I’m a teenager who loves running and I run around 20-25km a week (not much compared to you though!!) and I was just wondering if you have any tips for managing feet… my shoes are amazing but my feet are a mess! it’s a bit of a weird request but just wondering if you have any tips on how to look after them etc and avoid hard skin and bruising… thank you!! xoxo
My feet aren’t very pretty. I have a couple of black toenails and a couple have fallen off recently. Though I managed to run 50 miles and only get one blister. I’m probably not the best person to give advice on this topic but I see my hard skin as something that’s there to protect my feet so I’m not too bothered about it and have just accepted I’ll never be a foot model.
Laura.
Sounds like an amazing challenge. It’s great how people come up with these ideas, to liven things up. I love running, but sometimes it gets boring running the same routes. This type of an event does sound great.
I too would like to find out if you have any tips on managing feet… Good question ashlan!
Adding to the above, I have a black toenail on each foot (the toe next to the big toe). Had them since training in December, don’t hurt normally but they do if you squeeze them. Anything I can do to avoid?? They are just visually off putting, can live with them.
